NaNoCon 2026

NaNoCon is a gathering for non-religious individuals living in the Bible Belt, held in Tennessee where the movement originally began. Because resources for the secular community are scarce in the South, the founders launched the inaugural event on March 5, 2016, drawing over 400 attendees from a six-state region. Officially called the Nashville “Nones” Convention, the name reflects the survey option chosen by those with no religious preference. According to the Pew Research Center, “Nones” are the fastest-growing demographic in the country, making up roughly one in four people, which inspired the organizers to create a space dedicated to helping this community connect.
Years later, what started as a simple idea among friends has grown into a thriving movement that helps people support each other’s journeys, share experiences, and exchange ideas. The community continues to grow as people are encouraged to check out the event, spread the word, and help build something cool together.
