Neil deGrasse Tyson is an astrophysicist, author, and science communicator. He has served as director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History since 1996 and is the host and co-founder of the Emmy-nominated StarTalk podcast and television series.

He is the author of numerous bestselling science books, including Astrophysics for People in a Hurry, Astrophysics for Young People in a Hurry, and Death by Black Hole. Tyson has received numerous honorary doctorates as well as the Public Welfare Medal from the National Academy of Sciences and NASA’s Distinguished Public Service Medal.
